POWAY - San Diego Habitat for Humanity (SDHFH), in partnership with the City of Poway, will be providing new homeownership opportunities to low income military and veteran families. These families will also benefit from the Veteran Partner Family Supportive Services (VPFSS) Program, which will ensure that they develop the skills and tools they need to thrive.
Habitat’s first build in Poway will consist of 26 new homes. The homes will have 2, 3, and 4- bedrooms and 1.5 to 2 bathrooms and are between 1,200 and 1,400 square feet. Each home will have private outdoor backyard space, one or two-car garages, and energy efficiency features such as Energy Star Whirlpool appliances, low-flow plumbing fixtures, and drought-tolerant landscaping.
Habitat expects to break ground on this community in early 2017, with an expected completion date of Fall of 2019.
